Not your standard saturday

last week I had the absolute (unexpected) pleasure to be part of Emily Speed‘sΒ ‘Brick Parade’. Commissioned for the Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival, Emily drew upon the historic buildings in Warrington and the wide use of red brick in the town.

I wasn’t sure what to expect and certainly didn’t predict I would be shaken around by drunken men, dance to a busker’s tune, decorate a music shop window or kettle cheeky teenagers in – certainly not while wearing a cardboard brick anyway!
